I Still Dream About You by Fannie Flagg

How did I go all this time and never read a Fannie Flagg novel? I remember her from the game shows ... err uhhh.. okay ...now I'm telling my age haha. This is a fabulous read. I can't wait to finish this book. It won't take long. I can't seem to put it down!

Bed of Roses :: Nora Roberts

Ahhh the wedding trilogy ... all three of these titles are worth every turn of the page. I also loved the texture of the pages and extra attention to detail of this trade paperback.

Successfully Marketing Your Novel In the 21st Century by Austin Camaco

Okay, okay ... so it's not a novel ... but it might help me get mine out there for you to read! Great recap of Austin Camacho's journey to gain a readership and some great tips that I will definitely leverage on my own.

I read this while on the way to sunny, Saluda, VA yesterday with my husband. It was perfect timing for this read too because NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) starts today and now I'm all geared up to make some big progress.

If you're an aspiring author .. .this is a must-read.

Cross Roads by Fern Michaels

Ahhhh Number 18 in the Sisterhood series by Fern Michaels. Just hit the shelves and I had to have it. This is a great series of interesting problems and a group of tough gals that can really work their way to justice.

You don't have to read them in order ... .get yours today and I bet you'll be picking up others at the grocery store and online in no time.

Always an entertaining read.

Dune Road by Jane Green

This is the first book I've read by Jane Green. I'm not sure if it's consistant in style with the rest of her books ... it's a bit narrative ... BUT the story is so dog-gone good you have to keep reading.

I really enjoyed it. I plan to order another story of hers on my next Kindle order.
Happy reading.

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Okay .. I have to admit that this one took me a while to read, but only because of the heavy use of dialect in the beginning of the book. Once I got through the first few chapters it moved along better.

I'm southern .. i don't need all those funny spellings for me to hear that twang ;)
Anyway -- good read. Pretty cover ... yes, I do pick them that way pretty often!

THE WEDDING GIRL by Madeline Wickham

Yes .. that one .. the one that writes the Sophie Kinsella books.
This book was passed to me by a colleague while I was in Charlotte a couple weeks ago. What a quirky, fun read.

A fun cast of characters and surprisingly, some pretty amazing didn't-see-that-coming twists.

A fast read -- enjoy it!

Knit, Purl, Die by Anne Canadeo

I picked this book after seeing agent Bob Mecoy at Thrillerfest in NYC. What a delightful read. I knew I was in for a good ride when I saw the jacket blurb by Jayne Ann Krentz ... she's one of my favs!

This story is a fun group of ladies and I felt like one of the gang by chapter two!

This is the second in a new series ... A BLACK SHEEP KNITTING MYSTERY. I didn't feel like I was reading out of sequence so don't be afraid to grab this one first if you see it. I'm going to grab the first one soon. It's titled While My Pretty One Knits.

Happy Reading :)

SLIM TO NONE :: by Jenny Gardiner

I just downloaded this hot off the presses read for my kindle.

Sounds like a topic I can sink my teeth into. Okay, bad joke, but it's about about a gal who is a top food critic until her expanding waistline makes staying incognito at restaurants impossible.
Her cover blown on Page Six of the New York Post, her editor has no choice
but to bench her—and suggest she use the time off to bench-press her way back to anonymity.

Abbie’s life has been built around her career, and therefore around celebrating food. Forced to drop the pounds if she wants her primo gig back,
Abbie must peel back the layers of her past and confront the fears that have led to her current life.

Here's the Amazon link for it:

Mark your calendar for National Library Week 4/11-17

Just an early reminder that National Library week is April 11-17. It's a weeklong event aimed at raising awareness of the services provided by your local libraries.

Of course their main function is still books, but many modern facilities also include video access, DVDs, audiobooks, and computers with internet access.

Leverage your librarian too. She has loads of information about the books coming out, and she can help you find the perfect read.

Mark your calendar ... circle those dates...and pay a visit to your library.

The Sisterhood books by Fern Michaels

I'm just going to say it --- don't miss any of the sisterhood books. They are ALL great.
Lethal Justice, Sweet Revenge, The Jury, Vendetta, Payback and now DEADLY DEALS.

Never a dull moment -- page turning reads.

The Grand Finale by Janet Evanovich

In the first chapter of this book, this gal gets in more trouble than you could even dream of. Starting with trying to rescue a kitty in a tree and getting a hot view of a sexy guy changing in his second story bedroom only to crash to the ground and have to be rescued by same hot sexy guy!! AND it gets better and better.

A wild romp with a zany cast of characters and heartwarming fun.
A quick read . . . in mass market paperback.

Not My Daughter by Barbara Delinsky YES!

Barbara Delinsky always delivers a great read. Loves this one. All the things young woman and mothers struggle with in such a "today" view.

I highly recommend this book.

Up Close and Personal by Fern Michaels

Fern Michael's is always a hit with the sisterhood books (you have read those haven't you!?!?) - but this one departs from the sisterhood and stands on its own. A great story that's a family saga, and a place called home.

Lots of juicy characters and and generations of scandal to keep it lively.
